La casa se ubica al poniente de Guadalajara, Jalisco, en un fraccionamiento privado con vistas hacia un bosque interior que delimita un campo de golf.

El concepto del proyecto surge a partir de la reinterpretación de las viviendas tradicionales mexicanas, donde espacios públicos y privados giran en torno a un patio central.

La fachada hacia la calle está compuesta por dos volúmenes sólidos que generan el acceso en su intersección. Se ingresa a la casa a través de una plazoleta que se encuentra un metro por debajo del nivel de la calle, desde donde se accede a un vestíbulo que comunica hacia la escalera que conecta la planta alta, donde están los dormitorios, y la planta baja donde se encuentran las áreas sociales de la vivienda.

La planta baja del proyecto se encuentra medio nivel abajo del nivel de la calle y medio nivel arriba del nivel del campo de golf hacia el que se abre la propiedad. En este nivel se encuentran los estudios de trabajo, el family room, la sala, comedor y la cocina, organizados alrededor del patio central mediante un corredor interno. Este patio conecta visualmente todos los espacios y provee un paisaje propio para la casa.

La sala se ubica al centro del proyecto en un espacio a doble altura a través del cual se permea el bosque exterior hacia el interior. La doble altura es atravesada por un puente que conecta los dormitorios de los hijos en la planta alta con la recámara principal y gimnasio.

La volumetría posterior que voltea hacia el bosque se compone por un basamento de piedra, donde se postra en cantiléver el volumen de la recámara principal, y el ventanal de doble altura de la sala que lo divide.

The house is located on the western side of Guadalajara, Jalisco, in a private housing development overlooking a forest that delimits a golf course.

The concept of the project originates from the reinterpretation of traditional Mexican homes, where public and private spaces revolve around a central courtyard.

The façade towards the street is composed of two solid volumes that generate the entrance at its intersection. The access to the house is through a terrace that is one meter below street level, from where one enters a lobby that leads to the staircase that connects the upper floor, where the bedrooms are, and the ground floor where the social areas are.

The ground floor of the project is half a level below the street level and half a level above the level of the golf course to which the property opens. The work studios, family room, living room, dining room and the kitchen are on this level, organized around the central patio with an internal corridor. This patio visually connects all the spaces and provides an inner landscape for the residence.

The living room is located at the center of the project in a double-height space through which the forest on the outside permeates into the interior of the house. The double height is crossed by a bridge that connects the bedrooms of the children on the top floor with the master bedroom and gym.

The shape of the project that faces towards the forest is composed by a stone base, over which the volume of the master bedroom projects in cantilever, and the double height window of the living room that divides it.
